I just purchased and installed a new Pioneer internal DVD/CD writer. (DVR-A1 8M)
It comes with whats called labelflash. This allows users to create custom labels by utilizing the drives laser to burn images onto blank CD or DVD labelflash media. The writer/Drive works flawlessly other than the ability to use this labelflash feature.
It comes with the NERO software which was downloaded and also works great! no compatability problems. Do I need to buy a certain type of blank disc that has some sort of film on its top which can be etched by the Laser or is it supposed to work with any form of blank disc? Does the Disc that gets Labelflashed need to get flipped over? or is there a different laser used for this function ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Gunn

For Labelflash you need specific disks in order to use the technology. You can't just use any old disk.
