Have you contacted your ISP yet?
You may be fighting a faulty modem or line.
If it failed then try to do just that update alone.

i dn whats wrong.i sat on the computer with a hp tech for a hour and he had me type in all these things and dl stuff.and he said my computer and network adapter was working perfect and if it wasnt then these test would show.so he said it must be a problem with the ISP because if anything was wrong that it would show up in these test..so i called them and sat on with them and they performed test and he said my modem is working perfect.so i dn whats wrong.it still happened every hour or two.my internet will freeze but my network adapter says its working fine.my modem is fine.my computer will work fine just the internet freezes for a few minutes.
