I updated Norton on my PC.. A couple of weeks too late... In that time i got a Trojan...(Trojan.FakeAV!gen21)... After downloading on-line it did the scan and it found this and sorted it out and then asked me to re-start...

Did all this but after re-start, my PC has gone wrong...!

I can't access most things in 'control panel' and 'msconfig' will not open and most 'Apps' will not talk to me...!

The Norton folk say it's nothing to do with them and i should contact my 'vendor' or Microsoft.......!!

It seems it's a damaged registry i have got....

How do i fix this...?

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
