USB PORTS DO NOT WORK ON XP BUT WORKS ON UBUNTU

So i just restored my computer and then when i boot it again to XP, all my USB ports do not work ( my USB mouse does not work with it.)
but when i use ubuntu with the live CD, it works perfectly. I think the problem is with XP.
Please help me!!
