Problems after installing Java

I am unable to play Pogo because something is wrong with Java. I have uninstalled and re installed and then when I run the Java test it cannot find it. Ive gone under advanced on the internet options tab to make sure Java Sun is checked and there is no box for it???? I have been trying to fix this for 2 weeks and nobody can help me!!! Please walk me thru something to fix this!
