I have just subscribed to a broadband package and am tearing my hair out because of this file svchos1at.exe. I can connect for about 2 minutes (if that) and then this file installs itself in my C:\WINDOWS\prefetch folder and in the registry at at least two locations and then deletes my broadband connection leaving me to have to install it again! I have an up to date subscription of Norton and use microsoft's antispyware, spybot and counterspy programs but none of these help. Any advice please!!?? My win XP Pro is fully updated too.
