How to recover an accidentally overwritten document in MS Word? I saved a file after making changes instead of changing the file name. Is there an easy way to recover the file I just overwrote?

Example: Working on a file that had already been saved, making some changes, and then saving the file. Then you realize, you had wanted to save that file as a SEPARATE file, but you just overwrote your original file.

Is there an EASY way to recover that first original file, that you just accidentally overwrote by hitting save?

It *may* be possible but will depend on the versions of Windows and Office being used.
