Hi,
I want to downgrade the NTFS files system version from 3.0 to 1.0 in one of my drive.
Windows Xp automatically upgrades the any older version of NTFS
I used Partition Manager 9 for this purpose. But the filesystem is changed while the windows is running.so it does no good. and the recovery disk created does not give any option for NTFS version change.
Can any one suggest a solution?

In case you are wondering why I am downgrading the NTFS,Its because the harddisk is to be run in a CNC machine

NTFS v1.0 was introduced as part of Windows NT 3.1, therefore if you have access to this software, format it with that, is going to be the easier way to do it.
