Okay, I can only assume it's because of switching to Windows 7, since everything else is the same still, which is why I'm putting this here.. Anyways, My sounds are very low now, everything is already turned up in all the different settings, even at Max my speakers aren't producing half the sound level they did before the switch (I was on Vista)

They're logitech, but I'm not sure of model (not sure if it really matters seeing as how they're the same speakers they were before the switch) and they're 5.1, I've already verified they're all working, and hooked up right, which they are.

Is anyone aware of a reason why switching OS's might have this effect?

Slipispsycho-

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go! :)

Have you tried reinstalling the audio drivers? I know when I switched my laptop from Vista to 7 my sound settings changed- the volume levels are the same, but the rate at which the volume changes by pressing the volume buttons on my keyboard changed drastically.

I would suggest trying to look up and reinstall the audio drivers for your computer speakers. Let me know if you need any assistance with that. :)

Did that, twice in fact. It's not just the rate at which it changes though, as I could deal with that, If I turn the system sounds all the way up, and then my speakers, it's not even half as loud as I know these speakers can do, It's almost impossible to watch movies or anything even with the speakers at 100% of the output I'm getting. I've even tried messing around with the sound mixer of SoundMax.. To no avail.
