I installed my HP D1660 printer today, and after installation neither of the USB ports on the front of my computer will recognize any devices. I tried my iPod, camera, and card reader and all were listed as "unknown devices." After going through the Windows USB troubleshooter, I unplugged the printer from the USB port in the back, and now the devices will show up. My last printer was a HP PSC 1210v, and I never had to unplug it in order for any other USB devices to work. Do you have any idea why this printer would be using all of the USB power? Is there anything I can do, short of unplugging it every time I need to connect my iPod or camera?
