Several years ago GeeksToGo saved my desktop computer that was all gunked up with viruses, spyware, malware, etc. I have been using Avast antivirus and Comodo firewall ever since on my Windows XP computers. This combo has done a great job protecting my XP computers and I am familiar with them. Now I have a new laptop with Windows 7 and am looking for GTG's recommendation for how to best protect it. If the information is somewhere else on the site I have not been able to find it.

That sounds like a great combination. I use AVG and Comodo myself.

Those are great programs that will run on a wide variety of operating systems, including Windows 7.
