Someone help? When I delete files from my desktops harddrive, the files are also deleted from my external drive, Why? Also,when I connect my hard drive to my laptop my files are not there? Don't understand

Synchronization-type software can be setup to do what you describe.

what type of file are you deleting is it a mp3 or what???

deleting is done by a software like itunes or manually???

As stated already.....

If you are using synchronization software then the files will be deleted. That is also why they don't show up on the backup drive and the laptop.
