I have recently got a Sony Vaio model PCG - GRX316MP
I want to restore the laptop to the orginal factory settings, i dont have any CD's and dont have the Vaio Recovery Centre on the laptop, is there anyway that i can restore it without these things?
The laptop is working fine, but just want to bring it back to what it would be like when you first purchase it. Can someone please help?

Not sure if you have tried it but try clicking the f10 at sony logo on startup to access the recovery partition.

There is this offical link on Sony's website:

http://genesis.sony-...;m=PCG-GRX316MP

Original Utilities Package: http://support.vaio....d_Utilities.htm

(You may find Sony Recovery Center in that but it not listed anywhere what the utilities the package contains.)

Also, you can find the user manuals for your model below (Note: These are FTP links):

User Guide

Software Manual

Specifications

Ordering replacement recovery media seems tricky if you outside the US :)
