how do i disable window auto update when i first on my laptop. I will not be able to enter into the desktop because the update will come before entering in desktop.

I will face an error during the update which repeatedly restarts the laptop due to window able to configure update.

Tried using safe mode and such but fails.

Pls advice

XP or VISTA. If Vista really on wrong forum. However Control Panel Updates commission for either "Download but let me choose when to install" OR Disable altogether - auto update.
However, what you should really address is WHY they will not install.
Have you administrator rights. They will not install on User rights.
