Hi All,

Wonder if anyone can help me, I've recently installed Windows 7 and IE8 does not work. I am connected to the internet as Firefox works but i have some games which are commited to using IE (Sims 3)

Everytime I open IE it says cannot display webpage.

FYI - I've tried the adjusting proxy server solution and the DNS Client solution but neither of them work. I had the same problem with Vista when I installed updates.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same thing?

There is high possibility that one of the processes on your machine is conflicting with the functioning of Internet Explorer. To check this, you will have to test your Internet Explorer in a clean boot environment.
