When I was at my desktop in Windows XP sp3, I right clicked and selected properties then clicked on settings in hopes of changing my screen resolution. Clicked on Advance and then Monitor and somehow changed it from default to something else and in error and now although xp is running I can't see it on my monitor. How can I change this back. I can't see anything so I can't change it myself....is there a way to do this?

try booting into safe mode With Command Prompt....Restart your computer and start tapping the F8 key on your keyboard about once per second

At the Command Prompt, type
C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and press Enter

Follow the instructions given to perform the System Restore process...go back to a time before you changed the settings
