When i click the internet explorer shortcut on my desktop a window opens; all the toolbas are displayed but nothing happens.
As soon as i click anywhere the window stops responding, and if i wait for it to try and load it after some time stops responding by itself.
i have mozilla firebird browser also installed and this works fine (thats how i posted this message)
i have windows 7 and internet explorer 8 but although recenly updating the browser it has worked in its updated state for about a month
id appretiate any help as i really need it for everything and my mozilla browser doesnt support hardly any plugins

Open IE
Tools tab > Internet Options > Advanced > Click Reset...
Finally:
Restart IE.
