Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

I misread your original post.
I thought, you're talking about BSODs, not freezing.
No BSODs are reported past last February, so no help there.

Are you doing anything in particular, when your computer freezes?

Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
- security programs in use (antivirus, firewall)

Download, and install SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
Post your computer temperatures:

Provide processor info (hold Windows logo key, and hit Pause/Break key to find out).

Oh no, the computer doesn't freeze. It's a genuine 100% BSOD. Says tcpip.sys as the subject.

Hmmm...this is interesting, since no BSODs are reported in BlueScreenView, nothing past February.

Are you doing anything in particular, when your computer freezes?

Maybe I did it wrong. Try downloading this new attachment. I think I copied/pasted the wrong stuff?

I bought this Gateway computer

Did you buy it used?

Did you play with tcpip.sys file by any chance?
I'm asking, because your file was modified on April 17th.
tcpip.sys file got modified from time to time by Windows updates, but I checked my Vista and the last modification was on February 18th.

How is your security protection?

Nah, bought it brand new. I checked, I had like 15 updates on Apr 17 so that must be it. Do you think you know what the problem is?

You didn't answer:

How is your security protection?

I'm asking, because tcpip.sys file may be infected. It may be corrupted, as well.
Hash number of your file (48cbe6d53632d0067c2d6b20f90d84ca) and file size seem to be matching mine.

Since this is brand new computer, it may be the best idea to bring it back to the store.

Hmmm... well I've got lots of important data on this drive that I don't want to lose. And programs etc. I'd hate to reinstall everything :/

Maybe I'll just reinstall windows again? Think that will help? Or upgrade it to windows 7?

One more time...

How is your security protection?

What AV, firewall do you use?
Have you scanned your computer recently?
