I recently made the upgrade from InvisionFree to IPB 3.0. I would like to use the same,
or a similar, skin that I used on my IF on the new board, but the "Look & Feel" section
of the Admin CP of IPB looks very different than the "Skinning & Styles" section of the
IF Admin CP.

I'd really like to know how I can edit the wrappers, images, and stylesheet code of the
IF forum to fit the new IPB forum. It would also be helpful to know how to install the
edited skin. :)

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me. :) I have some knowledge of html and
css, but the layout of the new ACP baffles me!

It's best to set up a test site and play around with it for a while.
Try this site:

I used that to learn skinning on IPB 3, which was alot different to IPB 2.3.x.

To install a skin in IPB 3:
  • Go to Look & Feel then click on Import/Export.
  • Browse for your skin with the xml file and click Import Skin Set.
  • Do the same for Skin Image set and if you need to, Import Replacements.
  • Now go to Look & Feel again, match the skin with the image set you uploaded. Set the skin to default if needed.

I saved a few hundred dollars doing my custom skin myself. It's a great guide.
