I couldn't smell anything of that nature: just the 'pop' and 'flash.'

To be honest (although it is altogether annoying, as a whole) I'm pretty glad it happened as it confirms what we were talking about.

Having had a look inside the case, this morning, I see no 'visible' signs of anything else getting deep-fried; no warped components; etc. Hopefully - once I get the cash - I'll simply replace the PSU and be back to normal.

Computers: can't live with them; can't live without them. Bit like women. :)
