Do I have Virus, Hardware or Software trouble?

When I Try to Startup my computer, after 5-10 seconds it stops at a Blue Screen, is it BSOD? my computer is 3yr old HP pavilion DT, running Vista, it is very clean inside & out. It does not have any kind of anti virus installed.
Help.
