I have an HP Pavillion dv9334. I am trying to recover or restore to factory settings. I have the recovery cd in, turn on the laptop, it shows windows is loading files and then comes up with an error message - The instruction at 0x771361 referenced memory at 0x00008084. The memory could not be read. I can not get past that point. What should I do?

Wrong thread. My bad. I'll let another tech look at this.

Try using Memtest to check your RAM. That error is definitely hardware related.
