Am trying to backup to an external HDD (see 'Topic Title' above - using BFI) but get errors trying to write to the HDD. Successfully backed up a large directory (2.25 Gb) to my C: drive and again to a DVD. When I attempted to copy the backup directory to the external drive it failed (ext drive 'not responding').

Has anyone had problems with a similar Iomega HD and Win 7.

(Waiting for a response from Iomega.)

By the way, ran error-checking on the ext HHD - No errors.
