Have a 5 month old Sony Vaio laptop. The display has become noticeably dimmer recently. Am running on AC power and unit charges fine. Checked "brightness" settings and is about 40%. Increased to about 60% and seems a little better but not a lot. Is this a video card issue?

Any help greatly appreciated...Thanks much

I agree to a point, but being new, should you need to run at 100%?

Okay...Thanks much for your help. I was just concerned that being new and I've had several computers, there was something wrong when I had to set the brightness so high so soon. ....Dave R
