Flashed wrong bios

i was on the hp site trying to resolve an issue with a mouse that kept dying. i used hp healthcheck and it said to update drivers and bios/rom. i ended up flashing the wrong bios. now i get nothing but a racing fan when i turn my notebook on. i've heard there are ways to reflash or reset the bios without having to purchase a new motherboard or chip. i'm desparate to get this back up and running. anyone with an answer that can help me?

Try reseting the BIOS after any reflash by removing the battery for several minutes or using the reset jumper links.

If your motherboard has dual bios you can load the failsafe
