Alright, I have a Seagate external firewire harddrive which worked perfectly fine up until yesterday. My avg gave some weird warning, and after that I havn't been able to access my external harddrive. When I try to open it on my main computer, it says "Access Denied". On my laptop I can access it perfectly fine, so it obviously has something to do with my computer specifically.

I have gone over this by the letter and it does not fix my problem. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421

I would really prefer to not have to format my drive, as it would take an absurd amount of time to replace everything on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
