I just installed IE 8 a few days ago. I've lost my flash player. When I go to Adobe to download it, I get a runtime error.

The troubleshooter said to check my browser security and ensure that Active X is there.

When I checked the security, it was not set at all! I set it to default, then went back to Adobe.

Still a runtime error. I don't have a clue where to look for "Active X", or how to enable it or whatever I'm supposed to do!

Help? Alias775 :)

Hi I have a similar problem in that no mater how many times I install & reinstall & check valid installation of Adobe Flash player, whatever website i use for vids or to view A/V material, says "it notes that I have not got a suitable flash palyer installed & requires flash player 10.1 or higher"...I GOT FLASH PLAYER 10.1 or HIGHER! It also says when installing that I may have to disable my anti virus software? If it downloads ok do I need to do that if so, how does one do that? please help. Thanks team[/font]
