"Download SIW from HERE and get the Standalone English version
It will install itself and when finished
Then Click on SIW Icon to run program
On the left side click on one at a time of the following and then on the right, copy and paste the information in your next reply"

Not sure if I'm being dense on this, but I'm not sure what you're asking me to post with this.
The next line I get, here is the mobo description.

Property Value
Manufacturer ECS-USA
Model GeForce6100PM-M2
Version 2.0
Serial Number OEM

North Bridge NVIDIA MCP61 Revision A3
South Bridge NVIDIA MCP61 Revision A3

CPU AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+
Cpu Socket Socket AM2 (940)

System Slots 2 PCI

Memory Summary
Maximum Capacity 16384 MBytes
Maximum Memory Module Size 4096 MBytes
Memory Slots 4
Error Correction None

Warning! Accuracy of DMI data cannot be guaranteed

As for the Sensor>Audio Device, I'm not sure if I'm being dense again, but I don't see something that says audio device under sensors. Here's a pic of both the mobo description and the sensor one, just to make sure I'm not missing something.

You did good and the readings in those pics are within acceptable parameters.
This is why I wanted to double check with a different program because sometimes Speedfan doesn't get correct readings.
Try doing the following and let us know what the results are.
Go to
Start and then to Run
Type in Chkdsk /r Note the space between k and /
Click Enter ...It will probably ask if you want to do this on the next reboot...click Y
If the window doesn't shutdown on its own then reboot the system manually. On reboot the system will start the chkdsk operation
This one will take longer then chkdsk /f

Note... there are 5 stages...
It may appear to hang at a certain percent for a hour or more or even back up and go over the same area...this is normal...
DO NOT SHUT YOUR COMPUTER DOWN WHILE CHKDSK IS RUNNING OR YOU CAN HAVE SEVERE PROBLEMS
This can take several hours to complete.
When completed it will boot the system back into windows.

Let me know if this fixes the problem

You are welcome and hopefully I don't confuse you with what I suggested.

No I got it. For the most part I'm actually pretty good with computers. I'm just bad with debugging and hardware and whatnot. I have chkdsk running now (posting from phone) I'll post when it's done.

Okay, so I did chkdsk and it went through showing no errors. This rules out a faulty HD right? I was really hoping that this would be like a driver issue so I wouldn't have to spend money on this pc again. So... what next guys?

Nope this only checks file system not the actual hd.
Now we check System Files to make sure they are intact and not missing or corrupted.
Go Start and then to Run ("Start Search" in Vista),
Type in: sfc /scannow
Click OK (Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy.
If System File Checker (sfc) finds any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD.
If sfc does not find any errors in Windows XP, it will simply quit, without any message.
In Vista you will receive the following message: "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations".

For Vista users ONLY: Navigate to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder. You'll see CBS.log file.
Usually, it's pretty big file, so upload it to Flyupload, and post download link.

If you don't have Windows CD....
This applies mostly to Windows XP, since Vista rarely requires use of its DVD while running "sfc"
Note This method will not necessarily work as well, as when using Windows CD, because not always ALL system files are backed up on your hard drive. Also, backed up files may be corrupted as well.

Go Start and then Run
type in regedit and click OK

Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

You will see various entries Values on the right hand side.

The one we want is called: SourcePath

It probably has an entry pointing to your CD-ROM drive, usually D and that is why it is asking for the XP CD.
All we need to do is change it to: C:
Now, double click the SourcePatch setting and a new box will pop up.
Change the drive letter from your CD drive to your root drive, usually C:
Close Registry Editor.

Now restart your computer and try sfc /scannow again!

Thanks to Broni for the instructions

I'm not home (again!) And also I believe I've done the sfc scan before, I'm going to try again when I get home. But to make things complicated I have windows 7 and no cd. I'll update when I get home.

I would like to check the hard drive and memory but I am almost certain with those crazy readings on the PSU we may end up back with that being the potential problem. Let's make sure before we get there. Is you video a add on card or is it built on board?
Please do the following and let us know the results.

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech....ay.cfm?ttid=287
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.

NOTE. If your hard drive is made by Toshiba, unfortunately, you're out of luck, because Toshiba doesn't provide any diagnostic tool.

Thanks to Broni for the instructions

My GPU is GeForce 8800gt (addon). I was kind of hoping if it was a hardware issue it would be something like the PSU seeing as they're generally cheap. I'm going to run the HD tools. I'll post back when it's done.

Sounds great and I'll wait for your results.
I just want to make sure before suggesting the PSU.
