Hi,

I copied an excel 2007 file from one folder to another in the same server and now the hyperlinks don't work anymore. It I edit the hyperlinks, the path is indicated as \...\...\...\...\folder1\folder2\myfile.docx. Could this be a problem? And how could I preserve the hyperlinks when copying a file.

Thank you for your help.

You could use direct hyperlinks as opposed to making them relative. The issue with relative links, as you've found out, is if you move the file or the resources, the file doesn't work.

That is, instead of using ../../folder1/document.docx, you could use "C:\Documents And Settings\Fred\My Documents\Folder1\document.docx". Then providing Folder1 remains where it is, the links will work.
