Well, "hooting" is the only way I can describe it!

Since I re-installed seven a few days ago my computer speakers emit a short owl-like "hoot" every so often. Sometimes it's every ten seconds or so, and then it will go for hours without doing it. It doesn't seem to be associated with any particular running application - at present I'm using Thunderbird and Firefox.

I did a virus check only afew minutes ago - any ideas? :)
