Anytime I open up anything(notepad, chrome, firefox, word, new website) my computer says the following:
"the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\w32client32.dlll is not a valide windows image. please check this against your installation diskette"

I don't know what that means, I tried Googling it, but Google didn't find anything. Everything seems to be working fine; as far as Chrome, word, websites ect. opening, but before anything ever opens, I get that weird message. The only thing I can think of is cancelling a windows update while in the middle of it. Besides that I am completely lost.

Does anyone have any idea what that could possibly mean? Thank you.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post an OTL log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting OTL logs or ANY other logs requested in the malware/spyware cleaning guide in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden.
