I am having all kinds of error messages on this computer and can't figure out what the problem is. The last main error message was c/windows/system32/services.exe has encountered a problem and your computer will shut down in.... I am using win xp home edition. I just installed a new hard drive and check disk shows no errors.

Have you tried using autoruns to check things out, http://technet.micro...s/bb963902.aspx
Is windows fully up to date ie sp3 installed, doing this may fix the problem.
Other than that I would consider a clean install of xp.
BTW Ive mentioned updating to sp3 as support for sp2 ends on July 13th 2010.
Good luck
