My friend has a laptop with Vista and a DVD-CD drive. He can play a DVD disc, a data disc, a .wav disc and an .mp3 disc but not a CD bought from a music store. He assumes the drive is OK because the problem is only with the music discs he buys.
He's tried several suggestions one being to remove two filters from the registry, but there was only one filter there which he removed.
Can anyone help or must he replace the disc drive?
