can't validate microsoft security essentials

i installed Microsoft security essentials on my pc. now. it says it is inactive because i need to validate my copy of windows xp. i cl. connect & it says thanks for validating. it still does not work. says i need to "make genuine"

Hi,

Where did you get your copy of windows, did it come installed with the computer when you bought it? You might have an invalid copy of windows IE, pirated version, Also check to see if your clock is right on the computer that can sometimes mess up the validation process.

Go to this link, validate your copy of XP and any copy of Microsoft Office.
Follow the instructions
After, if you have passed the validation post back on this site.
If XP does NOT pass validation, this forum cannot help you.
