Okay, the RAM test had 0 errors. I found out that my hard drive is Western Digital and when going on the Hard Drive Diagnostics Tool website, I am presented with many options. I chose the first one instinctively but I do not know if this is the correction option.

You should go for Data Lifeguard Diagnostic v5.04c for DOS (CD) (June 2004) and create bootable CD.

I chose to do an extend test which runs a quick test first. The quick test brought up this result:

TEST COMPLETED WITH READ ELEMENT FAILURE
ERROR/STATUS CODE: 0007
-CONTINUE ON TO FULL MEDIA SCAN IN ORDER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE

The full media scan is now running. I'm not sure how long this will take but I will report as soon as it is done.

Finish full scan first.
Is the new drive still under warranty?

This hard drive was bought in November, it is a 500gb Scorpio SATA HD with 5400RPM. I do not have warranty on it.
The full scan is done. This is what it says:

TOO MANY ERRORS FOUND - PLEASE CONTACT TECHNICAL SUPPORT
ERROR/STATUS CODE: 0225

I would contact technical support but you need warranty to contact them. I am considering buying a new computer because Dell is not suitable for my computer needs since I do game a lot and I have only been having problems with it.

Every drive should have at least 1 year warranty.
Call WD.

Okay, I just checked on the Western Digital website and this hard drive has 3 years warranty. I am now searching the website for how I can get this replaced.

Yeah that's wonderful news! Thank you very much! But I have a feeling that my 3rd hard drive from western digital will not last just like the others. :)
