I have been getting a Blue Screen of Death for a while. I can't figure out why. I've tried about everything including checking my ram and my hard drive. Can someone please help. I have attached my .dmp files in a zip like I saw was requested in similar threads. On of the big problems I'm having is not every BSOD says the same thing. They happen when I'm using Internet Explorer or Playing Sims 3. They even happen when my computer is sitting idle. My computer also restarts itself randomnly.

I ran the memory test program for one pass and there were no errors found. It took 58 minutes to test 3.5 gigs of ram. Should I keep running the program for more than one pass? If not, what should I do next.
Thanks so much,
Tim

OK, I let memtest86 run for 18 hours while I slept and worked. There were no errors the whole time and it made 15 passes total on my 3.5 gigs of ram. What should we try next?

Thanks so much,
Tim

The above STOP error means a trap occurred in kernel mode and the trap is either one the kernel is not allowed to have or is always fatal. The most common causes of a STOP 0x7F are:

* Low-level hardware corruption, such as corrupt memory (RAM)
* Mismatched memory modules
* A malfunctioning motherboard

so as you see you mayhave a motherboard problem or a mismacheck pair of ram sticks ,assuming you have 2 sticks of ram try removing one and leaving it out and see how well computer works.
did you buy the computer complete or build it yourself ,if you bought it complete did it come with the ram thats in it now or did you add one/some .if you added some did you make sure it matched the other ,if you built the tower did you make sure that the ram was compadiable with the motherboard

My system came prebuilt. I have owned it for 2 years or so and have had the same RAM in it the whole time. I added the 548 MB chip of RAM after I purchased the system and it is the same brand and configuration as 2 of the 3 other pieces. I have checked all the RAM individually and none show any errors. I ran the hard drive scan and it didn't show any errors. Below I have listed my configuration and my RAM configuration.

Thanks for your help,
Tim

if it were mine or one someone brought to me to fix for them ,I would first backup all there persional data ,then run a Vista repair ,if nothing, then I would format and reinstall Vista

I am in the middle of formatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows. I have done this twice now and I each time I get a BSOD after the program finishes formatting. The first time it happened at the end when it was verifiying files and it said something about a cache_manager. The second time it said Bad_Pool_Caller. I don't get why this is still happening. It must be a piece of bad hardward. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Tim
