I was playing a video and all of a sudden my Windows 7 computer came up with a BSOD about nvlddmkm.sys.

How would I go about replacing this driver?

What do you mean by "playing"?
Is the computer bootable?

I was watching a video on Windows Media Player when the computer crashed.

If I turn the computer on, it will load up until the "Starting Windows" screen; then after a few seconds of blackness I get the blue screen saying that a problem has been detected and Windows had to shut down. The blue screen blames nvlddmkm.sys. The computer is bootable only in Safe Mode after it restarts itself following the blue screen error.

How do I do that? I don't have much knowledge about video drivers.

Here is your driver: http://global-downlo...r...es&SC=PA_6E

Download it.
It's in zip format, so you have to unzip it and then double click on unzipped file to start installation.

Thanks so much! I'm downloading it right now. I'll update later if this works. :)

The installation was terminated because the drivers are for Vista 32-bit. The computer with the issue has Windows 7 64-bit. (Sorry, my user profile on this site says Vista 32-bit, which is my main computer, but I'm working on a different one right now.) Is there another version of the video drivers?

:) Sadly, that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. After installing, I restarted the computer and the blue screen came up again. I had to go through Safe Mode in order to reach the login screen.

You may have video card issue itself, but let's try one more time in little bit different way.

Go Start>Control Panel>Device Manager
Expand "Display adapters".
Right click on nVidia item, click "Properties".
Click on "Driver" tab, then on "Uninstall" button.
Disregard any warnings.
Restart computer and try to install downloaded driver again.

Ok, when I pressed "Uninstall" a warning came up. I know I'm supposed to disregard it, but there's a check box below the warning that says "Delete the driver software for this device." Should I check this box?
