Okay, I did that. Now when I try to install the NVIDIA Windows Software, it gives me the following error message:

The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

Hmmm...it was installing before.
Which Windows 7 version do you have?
Home Premium, Ultimate, etc.....

I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

Could this maybe have been a result of checking that box?

No.

You sure, you uninstalled nVidia driver?
Try fresh download: http://global-downlo...r...es&SC=PA_6E
If the above doesn't work, try this one: http://global-downlo...r...es&SC=PA_6E

The first link was the 32-bit download (same as that which didn't work last time).

The second link (ATI) gave me this error message:

Failed to load detection driver

I'm considering just backing up all my files and reinstalling Windows 7. Should I just go through with that?

Edit: I thought the computer booted in Safe Mode. BUT it's not Safe Mode, the computer just boots with the same resolution as Safe Mode.

At least it's letting me log in now! :)

The resolution is now 800 x 600 and hurts my eyes. I still need the computer to go back to its original resolution for the 1440 x 900 monitor.

Where do we go from here?

I apologize for a wrong 32-bit driver :)
Here you go, 64-bit: http://global-downlo...r...es&SC=PA_6E

Actually before you replied, Windows Update popped up with the device driver software. Everything is fixed now. Thank you so much for your help! :)

From your profile it says you are in California, so Happy Fourth of July! THANK YOU SO MUCH! If I could give you a hug, I would. :)

In that case a hug, or a kiss will do :) :)
