Operating system not found

I have a Lenovo 300 N100 and it boots up to a white Lenovo screen, then the black DOS screen that says disk failure, operating system not found. No backup disk, BIOS set to boot from disk, tried to do a system recovery using spotmau program found on line and it tells me the same thing..is there any hope for me saving this laptop?
