First I'd like you to uninstall:
ViewPoint manager
under Add/Remove Software

And can you post the exact text of the prompt for your CD?
Maybe we can find another way to get the file(s) it's looking for.
Like for example: http://www.winsupers..._slipstream.asp

Thanks so much for your response ;)

I uninstalled the program.

As for the messege for my CD, it popped up a few times, then I haven't seen it since. It said something about system files being replaced by corrupted ones. I can't remember exactly :tazz:

Well, it would be interesting to know which files it wanted to replace.
I'll leave this thread open so you can notify me next time it happens.

Alright I'll let you know :tazz:

Other than that, you see no problems? Because it's been acting pretty strange lately. Freezing up and crashing programs. And it's a laptop and one day the wireless internet sudden disappeared, could this problem be with the main computer it connects though?

You can make Windows look for missing files by using this command.

Click Start > Run > type cmd.exe > OK

In the command prompt type sfc /scannow behind the prompt [i]Note there is a space after sfc.

After I typed the command, it searched for a second and this popped up:

Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to DLL Cache. Insert your Windows XP Home Editin CD-ROM now.

I clicked cancel, because I don't have the CD. Another window then said:

If you cancel, Windows might require you to insert a CD later. Are you sure you want to skip this file?

I clicked "yes". As the scan progressed, it popped up several more times. I canceled the scan when I had counted the messege appearing 50 times and the scan was hardly 1/4 way done.

Ok. The site talks about SP1, does it matter that I have SP2?

The principle is the same. I did find a clearer site on how to slipstream SP2:
