Your kind of problem is a random error produced by unknown factors.
Sometimes they happen, sometimes they don't.
In other words, it's hard to reproduce and learn how it happens and assembling a fix is impossible (or very hard to make) that way.
What I always do when I got malware or the likes:
1. Back-up vital data to external source (External harddisk, network pc or USB-stick/dvd's)
2. Hard-format and sell my harddisks to other people
3. Buy new harddisks
4. Install my operating system
5. Retreiving back-up
Steps 1,4 and 5 would cost you about 50 bucks at your local computerstore.
If you decide to go with this routine, make sure you make a list of your choice of settings for Windows:
Username, Computername, your choice of internet browser and optional software.
There is another solution though.
But you need a clean windows installation for that, so get that first .
note: you can also ask a computerstore to do make a Ghost image for you after they install everything on your computer.
1. Install clean Windows.
2. Install all programs that you need.
3. Install Norton Ghost.
4. Make a Ghost image.
5. Burn Ghost image to dvd.
Whenever you get infected you take these steps:
1. Back-up vital data to external harddisk
2. Run Ghost image dvd.
I hope this helped you in some way.
