I was just making my post, but somehow lost it. So, let me start over.

Computer's fine, :D , thanks Krazzdav.

I guess I'll try to wrap things up; my daughter takes the computer home, and then it's a while before I can get to it.

Anyway,

I think I uninstalled MSE after running the log (as you noted).

This laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A65-S126. I may add memory sometime, but not soon, so I don't want you to waste time on the memory specs.

I've changed the Toshiba ConfigFree and Kodak startups to manual.

I dont see anything from MSE running and no other issues so that is good as well.

Regarding the browser, I may give Mozilla a try. On my pc I was considering the Google one, what do you think of it?

I never used it so can't give an honest oppinion about it. You may try and do a "Google Chrome reviews" search on the internet though and read what other people have to say ;)

I personally prefer to buy from a store locally if the price is within reason to what I can buy it online, but I have to deal with a lot of shipping to Hawaii as well ;)

  • Double click on the OTL icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Click on the CleanUp button at the top
  • You will get a popup requesting to reboot the computer--click OK

I did run the OTL CleanUp.

I figure I'll use your info to add some memory down the road.
