Problem Detecting Second Monitor when Exiting Sleep Mode

I have a desktop (HP) running windows 7 (OEM), with dual monitors (one on the analog port and one on the digital port). Often when I exit sleep mode only the analog monitor comes up and if I go into and try to enalble the second monitor it will not detect it. If I restart the computer it solves the problem.

Any suggestions on what the problem might be or how I could fix it?
