sound skips, pages load slow

I have foxfire and flock as browsers, what happened recently after loading up sp3 is the browsers take forever to load. I can't play my mixpod on myspace, hulu doesn't load, online radio music skips. You tube vidoes skip or won't load. My windows media player works fine.
I defraged, cleaned all malware, cleaned history and read every forum on this and all these techs have instructions I'd rather not attempt. This started doing this last week when I still had sp2, but my machine demanded that I load sp3 as an update. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.
