Every time I boot up I get an error message saying Nlexic.dll cannot be found.

It doesn't seem to affect my computers performance in any way, it's just REALLY ANNOYING.

A search around a few places online shows no trace of a .dll by that name existing. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone.

Novak.

That file has most likely been removed at some point but the registry entry which calls/loads it everytime Windows starts has been left behind.
Hence the error. Easiest (and safest) way to remove the entry is with 'Ccleaner' from here: http://www.filehippo...nload_ccleaner/

Install it & start it.
Click 'Tools', then 'Startup'.
Find the entry which refers to "Nlexic.dll"
Highlight that line.
Click 'Delete'.
Restart Windows.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.

Thanks! Worked perfectly. I've always had CCleaner but never realised it had that function. You're a legend :)
