Ok this has frustrated me for a while now. Its just like when ever I download any iso file be it a game or software the installation ends up with a CRC error. First I thought this was some kind of a virus but then I reistalled my Xp and got the same error. I seriously need some help on this I cant play any new games :) sadness any ways just tel me if there's a problem with my hardware or its a big coincidence that my iso just happens to curropt after being downloaded. BTW just to let u guys know I am using Deamon tools to run the ISO file and its not working. Previously I used Alcohol nd magic iso but the same error still remained. Furthermore sometimes it gives a crc error while saying that the medium Iam running from may be curropted. Does this refer to my hardware or the iso running software ?.

Just to let you guys know I am using windows xp on service pack 2 with 1 gb ram pentium 4 2.66 GHz processor 80 GB hardisk SATA 1 and intel Graphic accelarator. Yea I know this is like 5 year old tech but I live in Pakistan computer stuff nd gagets are expensive here.

If any 1 hopefully finds a way out of this misery plzz tell me.

Regards

Waqas

Well they are from many places like isohunt or my local FTP server or any iso I find on the internet. The problem lies that they do not run properly and end up crashing with a CRC error. Mostly they are games but recently I donwloaded the Office 2007 and the same thing happened with it as well

any suggetions

We here at GeeksToGo will not assist you with issues relating to P2P file sharing programs. While many of these programs are-in-and of themselves legal, most things acquired by their use are not. Instead of attempting to differentiate between the legal use of P2P programs and the illegal use thereof, we have decided to stop helping with issues regarding this software. It is also in your best interest to know that many P2P software packages come bundled with spyware/malware/virii and that their use greatly increases the chances of your computer becoming infected. I strongly suggest that you uninstall these programs and refrain from using them at all costs.
