HI, I have googled my problem, but some of the answers suggest changing the registry (which I am scared to do)
I found out about my problem because I am playing Tombraider Underworld at the moment (not bad for a 61 year old, lol) anyway, I have been stuck for ages on a timed run and decided to put a save game in the folder for the next save point.
(THE SAVEGAME FILE DOES NOT SHOW UP IN THE GAME). I found out that I would have to go to Tools in the toolbar and select Folder Options from the drop down menu, click view tab under Advanced Settings and uncheck the box labeled Hide file extensions. But when I went to do just that, I found that i don't have a Folder Options either under tools or in the control panel. I have googled this problem and it says I may have a virus in my registry and it is stopping me seeing hidden files so it can't be detected. Do you know of any free programs that could get rid of it for me. There are so many programs out there, it is hard to know which will work. I use Tune Up one click maintenance for sorting small problems out quickly, and have Avast antvirus, but obviousley if it is a virus, it is not finding it! Can you please help?
regards Linda
