I have a Dell inspirion 1545 on Windows 7 64 bit. It's about two months old and ever since I got it I have had problems with it. I'm not really sure how to explain the problems but I will do my best to explain them. I have tried everything to solve these problems. I have tried deleting my browsing history. I have tried updating my bios. I don't have any programs downloaded onto the computer. I have ran the windows diagnostic tests- No errors were found. I've scanned for viruses- none were found. I have even gone to restart settings in the control panel and checked not to automatically restart. The problems happens if its charger and even if it's not charging. I can go an hour with out the problem occurring or the problem can occur less than every 5 minutes. What happens is I will be in the middle of doing something and the screen will go black, it flickers for a few seconds and then goes off, the computer will still be on, because the lights will be on but the screen will go blank, I have to press the on/off key to get it on, and sometimes it will go off again before I can even put my password in. Does anyone know what could be wrong with this?

If it is only a couple months old, I would contact the warranty dept of wherever you bought it.
