When i restart my pc, Dell Vostro 400, I am getting a AHCI Bios not found error and it takes roughly 30 min to 1 hr to start up. During the start up, it is like my pc is moving in super slow motion. I got a keylogger about 4 months ago, which i fought with for a few weeks, and went from using Windows XP to Vista. I know, start the jokes now. It did seem to stop all of the problems i was having with my pc though.
My real question is, should i try and re-install my Bios, or should i completely uninstall my Windows XP, which is still on the pc, just not being used? Or am I having an altogether different problem? I have run all the scans i can find and have not found any hardware or software problems.
