I am having some problems with my pc. My company updated their website which sets an IE setting for a proxy server and it is not working. They have tried to help me with no success. I ran spybot, adaware, panda online virus scan, Microsoft spyware scanner, and I have cleaned up what was there still having issues. Ocassionly IE crashes on me, and some pages when loading go totally gray then after a while the page just appears. I am running XP SP1 IE 6 with the latest

Second,
Please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and remove all traces of odsp.dll.

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log.

There is only one thing that shows up when I run LSP- FIX and that is

odsp.dll Aventail Ondemand and I know what this is. This is something installed my companies website. This is supposed to be there. What do you think? Is it worth removing it anyway?

If you are positive that odsp.dll is from your company's website, then no you dont have to do that step to remove it. Please do the following:

First,

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes

HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Reboot into
safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting
up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up
where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please remove these entries from Add/Remove
Programs in the Control Panel(if present):

Viewpoint


Please delete these folders using Windows
Explorer(if present):

C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\


After that, Reboot.


Third,
Please follow the instructions provided, you may want to print out these instructions and use them as a reference.


Please download ewido security suite it is a trial version of the program.

• Install ewido security suite
• Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
• The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
• The program will now go to the main screen

You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.

• On the left hand side of the main screen click update
• Click on Start

The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the updates are installed do the following:

• Click on scanner
• Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
  • Binder
  • Crypter
  • Archives
• Click on Start Scan
• Let the program scan the machine

While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

• Click Save report
• Save the report to your desktop

Reboot your machine and post back a new HJT log and the ewido .txt log file you saved by using Add Reply
